Tongshang Hong Kong is delighted that our firm has been recognised by China Business Law Journal (CBLJ) in its 2025 “Deals of the Year 2025” list.

The recognition underscores our expertise as legal counsel, having represented the Sole Sponsor and the Underwriters of CIG Shanghai Co. LTD. (Stock Code: 06166.HK) in its global offering and listing on the Main Board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, which successfully raised HK$4.6 billion. Guotai Junan Capital Limited acted as the sole sponsor for this listing.

This notable deal marks CIG Shanghai Co. LTD. the first CPO-focused company listed on HKEX, the first in its sector to achieve dual A+H listing. It also stands as the largest joint A-share and Hong Kong offering in the telecommunications equipment industry.

Jeff brings extensive experience representing clients in China and Hong Kong, including multinational corporations, leading investment banks, and financial institutions in equity capital markets, particularly Hong Kong IPO legal matters. His expertise covers a wide range of Hong Kong company and securities-related projects, including initial public offerings (IPOs), tender offers, equity fundraising, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory compliance.

Over the past 15 years, Jeff has been involved in numerous Hong Kong IPO projects and has substantial experience with specialised technology companies listed under Chapter 18C of the Hong Kong Listing Rules.

Christy, Head of our disputes resolution practice at Tongshang Hong Kong, has over 13 years of experience advising on contentious regulatory matters and commercial disputes. She has advised investment banks, financial institutions, listed companies, licensed corporations and company directors in regulatory and criminal investigations and proceedings brought by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEx) and the Hong Kong Police Force. She has also acted in a broad range of civil/commercial litigation matters before the Hong Kong courts and arbitral tribunals, including but not limited to shareholder disputes, boardroom disputes, contractual disputes, private equity investment related disputes, insolvency matters, and judicial review proceedings.

Frank heads our investment funds practice. A seasoned expert with over a decade of experience, he specializes in advising financial institutions and asset managers on the structuring, formation, and regulatory compliance issues. Frank also has extensive experience representing sovereign wealth funds and institutional investors in their investments across the private funds landscape.

Bonnie has extensive experience in general corporate matters and corporate finance transactions, including representing issuers and underwriters in both public and private equity securities offerings in Hong Kong, representing public and private companies and investors in Hong Kong in takeovers, private mergers and acquisitions, and privatisations, and providing legal advice on other transactions under the governance of the Hong Kong Listing Rules and Takeovers Code. She also advises Hong Kong listed companies on post listing regulatory compliance matters and provides legal advice and services on Hong Kong general commercial and corporate matters.

Bonnie has more than 20 years of legal industry experience. She has been involved in numerous initial public offerings in Hong Kong of companies covering a wide spectrum of industries, including information technology, real estate, financial services, retail, manufacturing, and mining numerous, and also mergers and acquisitions of listed and private companies in Hong Kong. Before joining the firm, Bonnie was a partner with Han Kun Law Offices LLP and Mayer Brown. Prior to that, she had been a partner with Paul Hastings, a firm where she spent more than eight years.
