Eric Chow & Co. in Association with Commerce & Finance Law Offices (“Tongshang Hong Kong”), advised in a billion placing of new H shares of Zhaojin Mining Industry Company Limited (HKEx: 1818) (“ZHAOJIN MINING”). UBS and Huatai International acted as the Placing Agents in this transaction.

Zhaojin Mining Industry Company Limited is a state-owned enterprise, with exploration, mining, ore processing and smelting operations based in the Zhaoyuan district of Shandong province in the PRC.

Tongshang Hong Kong team was led by Partners Liu Ning and Angela Zhang, supported by Senior Associate Yin Yue, Legal Consultants Yihao Li and Weiyun Zhu.

Eric Chow & Co. in Association with Commerce & Finance Law Offices (“Tongshang Hong Kong”), together with our PRC office, Commerce & Finance Law Offices (“Tongshang”), jointly advised in a HK$978 million top-up placing of shares of China Nonferrous Mining Corporation Limited (HKEx: 1258) (“CNMC”). In this transaction, a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd which is a state-owned enterprise, appointed the placing agent to place up to 163 million shares of CNMC at a placing price of HK$6.0 per share. China International Capital Corporation Hong Kong Securities Limited acted as the Placing Agent in this transaction.

CNMC’s subsidiaries are principally engaged in exploration, mining, ore processing, leaching, smelting and sale of copper cathodes, blister copper and copper anodes, and production and sale of cobalt hydroxide, sulphuric acid and liquid sulphur dioxide.
