Tongshang Hong Kong Strengthens its Corporate Finance Practice with Former A&O Shearman Partner Kung-Wei Liu

Kung-Wei joins from Magic Circle firm A&O Shearman, bringing over 20 years of experience in IPOs, equity/debt offerings, and landmark deals across the region. His pioneering role multiple award-winning IPOs including the first De-SPAC merger and its subsequent listing in Hong Kong positions him as a go-to advisor for issuers and underwriters navigating complex cross-border transactions.

Kung-Wei has extensive experience in advising issuers in new energy, biotech, TMT, financial institutions, healthcare, hospitals, energy, new retailing, consumer products and other sectors on their capital market transactions, and he is qualified in Hong Kong, New York, and Taiwan. Prior to A&O Shearman, he spent about ten years at Sullivan & Cromwell (New York/Hong Kong), advising on high-profile listings and debt issuances.
